Built around Big Bear Choppers's custom - cruiser motorcycle platform, the 2010 Big Bear Choppers Bear Bones 100 Smooth Carb features a 1638.8 cc (100 cu in) v2, four-stroke configuration. In factory specification, peak output is rated at 95 HP (69.3 kW) while maximum torque reaches 151.9 Nm (112 lb-ft), transferring power to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox. With a specific output of 58 HP per liter, the engine character is prioritizing low-RPM tractability, mechanical longevity and relaxed throttle response over peak redline numbers.
On the scales, the Bear Bones 100 Smooth Carb measures 318 kg (701 lbs) dry, translating to a power-to-weight ratio of 0.3 HP/kg (3.35 kg per horsepower). Rider ergonomics and chassis geometry center around a 584 mm (23 in) seat height — giving shorter riders and urban commuters confident flat-foot reach at traffic stops, combined with a 2,108 mm (83 in) wheelbase engineered for planted straight-line stability. The 13.72-liter (3.6 US gal) fuel tank supports practical everyday commuting and weekend road stints.
