CBX 600 E
1983 Honda CBX 600 E Technical Analysis & Specification Breakdown
Positioned in Honda's touring motorcycle lineup, the 1983 Honda CBX 600 E relies on a 572 cc (34.9 cu in) oil & air-cooled in-line four, four-stroke powerplant. In factory specification, peak output is rated at 65 HP (47.4 kW) at 9,500 rpm while maximum torque reaches 49 Nm (36.2 lb-ft) at 8,000 rpm, transferring power to the rear wheel through a 5-speed gearbox and shaft drive (cardan) final drive. With a specific output of 113.6 HP per liter and a 1,500 rpm working window between peak torque (8,000 rpm) and peak power (9,500 rpm), the engine character is reflecting a performance-oriented street tune that balances strong mid-range pull with an energetic top-end rush.
